The files concerning the Associated Women Students fill three boxes and are arranged mainly in chronological order, covering the period 1953-1970. They include class constitutions, requests for space for class activities, and correspondence and publicity materials concerning class gifts to the University. The records of the class councils fill three boxes and are arranged in chronological order, covering the councils of the classes of 1953 through 1970. These reports, submitted annually by each organization, list the organization's officers and advisers, if any, and some reports also include membership lists. Those for 1970-1974 are in a separate box at the end of the series. The activity reports fill nine boxes and are arranged in chronological order, spanning the period 1951-1974. They include such materials as the organizations' constitutions, statements of purpose, publicity materials, and handbooks and directories. The student activities and organizations general files fill 11 boxes and are arranged alphabetically by names of organizations. Completing the collection are transparencies made for the production of the 1983 Men of Northwestern and Women of Northwestern calendars which were distributed by Northwestern's Athletic Department.This collection consists of materials and records of the various student activities and organizations on the Evanston Campus of Northwestern University under the direction and control of the Office of Student Guidance and Counseling. Subject matter relates primarily to locations and events on the Northwestern campus. Three boxes of transparencies complete the collection and cover the period between 19. Much of the imagery available on contact sheets corresponds to photographs also found in the collection's group or reel or line negatives. The subject matter depicted relates to numerous fraternity and sorority events held between 19. The contact sheets are housed in three dropfront boxes. Each reel of negatives is identified with the name of the sponsoring organization and the name and date of the event. These negatives tend to carry more detailed information with regard to the events they document. Negatives found on reels, or "line negatives," span the years from 1979 to 1983 and cover many of the same events reflected in the contact sheets. Three boxes of strip negatives cover activities of the year 1979 and include a substantial quantity of unidentified, undated material.Ī single box of prints follows, documenting several locations, themes, and events. ![]() Photographic negatives are found here in 35 millimeter format, both four to five-image strips and by the score on reels. ![]() Materials are arranged according to physical format: 35 millimeter negative strips, prints, "line negatives" on reels, contact sheets, and transparencies. The collection contains color photographic negatives, prints, contact sheets, and transparencies documenting his work as a popular and successful photographer of campus, especially fraternity and sorority, activities.
